Nissan Motorsports International Co., Ltd. (Nismo) is pleased to announce the official release of a Nissan GT-R (R35) that conforms to FIA GT3 regulations: the 2013 Model, Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3.

The 2012 model achieved global success as it outperformed the competition at this year’s SUPER GT series (GT 300 class), Super Taikyu (GT3 class), British GT Championship and GT Cup. Taking valuable feedback from the NDDP RACING (Nismo) as well as customer racing teams, Nismo has developed the new and improved 2013 Nissan GT-R (R35). Using data collected from the year’s races, in addition to the diagnostics, track tests, and customer feedback, the team was able to increase the car’s performance and ultimate competitiveness.

The most significant improvements were made to the engine performance and durability, aerodynamic performance, brake balance, suspension setting (to suit the new aerodynamics package) and the gear ration to optimize engine output.

Engine enhancements are considered the biggest contribution which includes new camshaft timing and reinforced engine components to guarantee durability.

Several modifications were made to enhance the aerodynamics as canards were added to the front and the front fender louvers were enlarged. The positioning of the rear wing were optimized as well. These changes improved the aerodynamic balance between front and rear, increasing the down force; contributing to an overall enhanced aerodynamic performance.

Nismo is currently preparing an update kit for the 2012 model, Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3.
