Looking for a stress free long weekend? PARK it.
Not to be the bearer of bad news, but this weekend will be our second last long weekend of the summer and let’s face it, getting out of town on a long weekend can give us as much anxiety as pleasure.
Parents are grumpy, overworked and exhausted while the kids are hyperactive and anxious.
Thankfully, it’s usually the August long weekend that wakes us up to the fact that we are midway through summer and the kids only have a few short weeks left before heading back to school. Everyone wants to enjoy these last fleeting moments of gorgeous weather and are looking for a mini vacation to boost those back to school blues.
Traditional RVing is a great way to bring the family together, but if you aren’t up for traveling a long distance and bouncing from place to place this long weekend, a park model RV home might be the place for you.
One of my favourite things about RVing is the flexibility in its nature. Renting or buying a park model RV allows you to get away without any hassle. It remains an attractive choice for those looking for that ‘cottage’ feel without the steep price tag.
Park model RVs are all about comfort and convenience. Units come complete with sleeping, dining, cooking and bathroom facilities, similar to other RVs, whether you are renting or buying. You don’t have to worry about towing or driving this type of RV which features large windows, awnings and some even come with built in decks.
If this seems like an attractive option for you, there are a number of park model RV resorts and campgrounds across the country where you can purchase or rent a park model. Simply pack everyone in the family car and drive to your destination, where everything is taken care of. You’ll arrive onsite to a beautiful place where all of the comforts of home are included.
Not only will you have everything you could possibly need but you benefit of being outside with nature and neighbors!
RV resorts and campgrounds are also special places. Most are filled with fun activities for kids and parents alike. Some have access to kayaking and canoeing, tennis courts, basketball, some even have mini putt! At the end of the day, you can gas up the BBQ and invite over your neighbors to share in a great meal over some colds ones.
Before you know it, the weekend has come to an end and your anxiety is lifted; recharged for the upcoming weeks.
